Home to the David M. Carmines Water Festival since 2004... This event will again include a tennis tournament(March 26 -March 28, 2010), and the Event itself will be on April 24, 2010 at the Shelter Cove Community Park. We have raised over $200,000 for charities including the American Cancer Society, M D Anderson Cancer Clinic, and The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association Scholarship Fund.
2010 - On Saturday, April 24, 2010 we will have the Hilton Head Seafood Fest presented by Coligny Plaza and The David M Carmines Memorial. The Festival will take place from 11 AM - 4 PM at the Shelter Cove Community Park and will include twelve island restaurants serving their seafood specialties. The best local and regional seafood will be available for tasting from all of these restaurants and the Event will again have the "Iron Chef" competition. This year The Headliners will be on stage from 12-4PM!!
The silent auction will be bigger and better this year... Last years winning bidders dined out on the island, had a chef prepare a 4 course meal for their friends, did a wine tour in Sonoma County, Spa Certificates, Beach Front Accomodations, Resort Hotel Accomodations, Fishing Charters, Golf Certificates, a $9,000.00 complete HVAC System including installation, paintings, sports equipment, medical and dental services, and many many more! This is truly a great way to find bargains and give to charity.
All beverage sales, restaurant purveyor fees, artists fees and silent auction funds will benefit the M D Anderson Cancer Research Center, the American Cancer Assoc., and the Island Recreation Scholarship Fund.
We will have a "Kids Zone" and "The Famous Crab Races".
