Sixty years ago Hilton Head Island was considered (if it was considered at all) a good place to hunt, fish and cut timber.

Today, over two million visitors cross our fancy four lane bridge every year.

Some of you remember paying 25 cents to cross the toll bridge back in the 50's. Others might remember the single lane dirt road that used to end at Palmetto Bay Marina.

For some of you this might be the first time you've experienced our special place.
